Gladstone founder, Adam Stead, received specialist training and worked on Worcester Cathedral for over six years. He is therefore familiar with all ecclesiastical projects from the complete fabric of the buildings structure to the carving and repair of the memorials and monuments in the graveyards.
Since the conception of Gladstone we have worked on a wide variety of projects including the restoration and conservation of ancient and listed buildings, architectural stonework and new build masonry. We have been commissioned to carve contemporary and naturalistic sculptures in stone as well as bespoke fireplace surrounds. We carry out stone and brick repointing and are specialists in using natural lime mortars, renders and paints.
