KD Tyres in Thorpe-le-soken, Clacton-on-Sea

Normally I go to KD tyres in Thorpe-le-soken as they are excellent value for money and very helpful. This time however they were rubbish! And that's putting it mildly! I spoke to a chap on the Friday about some new tyres for may truck, we agreed on a price and brand but I was unable to change them there and then as I was having my mother in-laws tyre changed. I said I'd pop back tomorrow (Saturday) in the morning to which he informed me that he would not be open as they would have no electricity due to the power being turned off. Well that's fair enough I said, and arranged to come back on Monday afternoon when I could get out of work for 10 mins. On the Monday I went back at 4:30pm to be told there was a half hour wait, I was unable to wait 30 mins and then 10 mins to have them changed as I was on a break from work so I said I'd come back at 5pm. Immediately the other chap told me he'd be shutting at 5:30 on the dot. Again fair enough so I went back at 5:10pm which means they had 20mins to change 2 Tyres for 2 guys. To me that would seem completely acceptable and of course if you did take 5mins more then at least you've kept the customer (the person who indirectly pays your wages) happy. But no I was told that simply they were closing at 5:30. This in itself is a ridiculous statement because actually as far as doing any work or serving your customers you are ALREADY CLOSED at 5:10. If I'd have turned up and the shutters were down then I would have accepted that much more, but to stand there on your phone, which by the way to all you phone addicts, is not your given right to have whilst you are at work in your working day. Well that just grinds my gears!!!! Someone out there is paying your wages for you to stand around on your phone whilst turning business away!!! Very poor.
