Mander Auctioneers in Clare, Sudbury

We used this auction house for a couple of years and saw a few problems with their way of dealing with clients. Recently they had for auction a desk which was shown on their screen, I had not seen it before hand, but it looked good and was described as a George III desk. We were successful in our bid, but when it was brought out to us it was badly damaged with the front torn off - not shown in the picture. I know 'Buyer Beware' is always what we are told, but Manders' appalling way of dealing with our complaint was ungentlemanly and rude. Not an Auction House I would recommend to colleagues.
