Pearman Briggs Caravan Sales
After purchasing a Buccaneer caravan from Pearman Briggs 12 months previous, I opted for them to carry out the annual service so as to maintain a working relationship with them, despite the 140 mile round trip I would have to make to their premises. On collection of the caravan I discovered damage had been caused to the internal woodwork. In raising the issue to the manager, he inspected the damage and denied responsibility, claiming I would have to prove they have caused it.
The iDC wiring to the sensor was also damaged after carelessly jacking the A frame so as to enable a new jockey wheel to be fitted. The engineer proceeded to do a botch repair using crimp connectors and electrical tape and after arguing that this was unacceptable, the manager conceded that a new sensor and cable would have to be ordered from BPW and installed.
There was no NCC standard damp test sheet offered with the invoice, I had to ask for it. The NCC worksheet showed the damp test had not been completed, it was crossed out by the engineer, however the manager claimed it had been done, I'm not convinced.
