Perks Catering in Andover

Further to the review below i would also warn against the obscene prices. They operate a cartel approach with the venue and milk you for all they can. My favourite was being told I would need a refrigeration van for my drinks despite it being December and drinks could have been stored outside. This was unacceptable to the owner because she wanted to also store her food in the refrigeration van I was going to hire. The good news though was that her husband had one that we could use for the small fee of £500... yes £500. I was told i HAD to have Canapés because, and i quote "I will not have your guests drunk by 3pm, abusing my staff". Needless to say I did not use Perks Catering. She was rude, obnoxious and offensively expensive.

We had no alternative to this caterer as they were the sole 'approved' supplier for our venue.

There were numerous let-downs; won't list them here - mostly small but a couple significant, and led to overall disappointment.

Their pricing was astronomical and so customers will likely have huge expectations. We guarded against this, but they failed to meet even our reduced expectations. Our feedback (not that any has been requested) would be for them to do less talking at their customers and listen to what customers' needs are. We were let down by their lack of organisation and fundamental, simple mistakes which could've been avoided had they just listened to what we wanted in 6 or 7 areas.

In summary, our experience was significantly over-paying for 'average-at-best' service - so can only recommend that you look around carefully/try and find alternatives in the area if you can.
