Avenue Nurseries Garden Centre Ltd in Lasham, Alton

I used to be a regular as it was a good meeting place, but I will never set foot in their restaurant again. I politely asked for a refund after being given a flat white coffee (instead of a latte) and a stale/dry cake, only to be met with 3 belligerent staff who then proceeded to argue with me about what kind of coffee they'd given me, and sniping about the cake being fresh out that day. I had been nothing but polite about asking for a refund, so I was really upset to be met with such a confrontational and defensive attitude. In frustration, I then asked if they were just going to argue with me all afternoon or offer me a refund. This was very grudgingly given by one of the 3 - I thanked her but said I thought her customer service was appalling - the professional response I received was "yeah, I thought you might!". Lost for words ...
