Stay away very bad trader. Sold Car with dodgy brakes.

We brought a car and picked up in august 2013.
We were offered an in house warranty and third party warranty for an extra £200, which we brought.
Left with our new car realised it had problems.
Contacted garage was told to claim off warranty.
Contacted warranty people to be told there was no warranty set up, they then contacted them on our behalf to get it set up. Garage then set up wrong cover, mot and purchase date called garage told it didn’t matter, what the warranty said and refused to change it. Spoke about car problems after a lot of arguing they agreed to look into what could be done and call us back.
No call back. Contacted warranty people who had to then called Oakland’s and demanded they change the warranty details to the correct ones.
The manager then stated that there were no problems with our car, and we had been called back.

We then just went round in circles if we would email they would say of course they would fix it, but they didn’t want to speak via email and to call them, when you call they blatantly refuse.

The third party warranty refused to pay due to the fact the car was sold by Oakland’s with ‘’known clutch and brake issues’’ and as they ‘’delayed in setting up the warranty’’.

We then sent recorded letters again they would either send a letter telling us how its all our fault with every excuse under the sun or tell you to call, then they just refuse when you call. The manager even went into great detail that he was on holiday and who to call and the car would be fixed called up told to call the warranty people, when I explained all that had happened the staff just got arrogant and told us it was not there problem.

The car was sold with Dangerous brakes. (which we can prove)
We had to pay to repair them our self’s was only offered half back as the manger said that all it would of cost him if he repaired it, but they were the ones refusing, he never would answer how that was fair.
The Car also had dodgy clutch.
Since then rgv valves, gear box problems and deterioration to the suspension really not good for a car that had just got it’s MOT a few day’s before we picked it up.
The Warranty People were very helpful, even though the garage would try to forbid us calling them. I spoke to someone a lot higher up he advised they were appalled at Oakland’s Attitudes, They were now under review advised me legally what I was entitled to and suggested I should report there ‘MOT’s and gave me information of where to go. I haven’t done anything as yet as my wife has been so ill, believe me there lucky had my wife not been seriously ill or they would of taken the car back and they would of refunded every penny. I even have every recording of all phone calls and answer phone messages back and fourth yet they still try to lie in writing that was never said. I am currently deciding weather to still go ahead and report them to the relevant organisations. Avoid at all costs.
To the other reviewers I note you say that RAC warranty’s should not associate them self’s with them, Believe me they wouldn’t they just are not aware of the problems so make sure you submit any problems to them.
