Argyll & Bute Council in Tobermory, Isle of Mull

Have just returned from holiday on Mull. Amazed to find that the Public Toilets in Salen have been closed! Bad enough that toilets at Tobermory have now been changed into an Ice Cream Parlour forcing visitors to pay to use one at pier, but the toilets at Salen were widely used by visitors travelling to Tobermory from Salen. What is the justification for their closure?
