We went to this Company as we needed the engine rebuilding after the Turbo went. I chose this company as they stated they are AA approved, I was informed the car would take approximately 2 weeks to do and it would be around £2200.00 including a Turbo rebuild which I agreed to.
I then received a call saying they would have to charge me two hours labour for cleaning the Turbo pipes out then I got charged for a cam shaft (believed this was part of the service) five weeks later we received a call on 12/09/13 to say the car was done so on the 13/09/13 we travelled to pick it up to a bill of £3600.00. On driving it home we noticed a lack of power and on getting home it broke down.
We called them and they said we cant pick it up for a week use the AA to get it here which I was not prepared to do. Someone eventually picked it up a few days later and took it away this was four weeks ago, today 14/10/13 we have finally got it back still lacking Power and a further bill of £417.00, They refused to give me the details of the company who repaired the injectors I was also charged £45.00 to test each injector which my local engineer has told me he pays between £45.00 to £65.00 to have all four tested depending on the make, I also asked for the company details who repaired the Turbo as I wanted these for the engineer who is now going to fix the car properly for us and do us a written report of his findings. I did contact the AA who stated they only have one affiliation they approve and it was not this scrap yard. On putting this to the owners they did not comment. Further to this when I questioned them about the engine lacking power I was told we rebuild engines we do not specialise in diagnostics which on vehicles these days is very important to know or have someone qualified to do it. On that note I did not see one qualification displayed in the office which most garages do all I would say after reading other reviews on this company DO NOT USE make sure if you do not know the garage well that you choose one from the Independent Garage Associaltion.
