J Elliott in Challock, Ashford

I first went in just to see if this place did do what i wanted, Mr Elliot could not have been nicer he explain what he would do and how he was going to do it, and gave me an cost and a time frame. I dropped the cushions off a few days later, it took three days which was fab. My sofa is now like new, wonderful. The reason i am giving 4 stars instead of five is Mr Elliot did not ring when the work was done, and i have to dispose of the old cushions, which I was not told about before the work was done.

Mr. Elliot had made a complete replacement set of cushions for my boat which were excellently refurbished and at the end of the first season still look as made.
I will be going back to get a backrest made and I recommend Mr. Elliot as the first place to go for cushions and or foam.

WARNING!! Dropped off two samples, and asked for two of each sample. Paid in full, agreed to collect the following week. Came to collect and the fellow put two of each item on the counter, I proceeded to compare the available sample (that I had provided) and all dimensions were 1/2" small, I then asked for the other sample so that I could compare the dimensions. He informed me that he had thrown it away!!! So now I couldn't compare, nor put the foam to any other use. I never asked him to dispose of my foam, nor did he ask me.
My wife had a copy of the dimensions related to the samples, and again the dimensions were short this time as much as an 1" over the length. PLEASE, Please, be very careful if you decide to use this guy. Absolutely incompetent. He told me he'd been in the business for most of his life as that he was the best, clearly not true, as an excuse for the dimensions being undersize, he even suggested that my foam samples had expanded!!!
