Rainbow House in Glasgow

I was an in-patient at Rainbow-house (Govanhill)) from October 2010-March 2011 and received the best care and I could possibly imagine, physically as well as mentally.
Rainbow-house has got a program that was ideal for me, not too full on, but dealt with the issues I needed to deal with while not overwhelming me with things I wasn't ready for. The groups really helped me, not only the topics, but also learning to speak in a group-environment and sharing my experiences in addiction with other addicts. The staff were amazing (well most of them ;) ), and it wasn't an "us and them environment" at all. Apart from the therapeutic side of the program there was so much to be enjoyed, weekly outings, Christmas dinner,
sports, swimming etc etc..
I really don't have a bad word to say about Rainbow house, and it'll work for you if you're ready, and willing to put the work in and genuinely get clean.
I stayed clean for nearly a year (5 days short of), and relapsed entirely through my own fault, I had the happiest year of my life, and I'll be forever grateful to Rainbow house and its staff, for showing me what life can be like without drugs.
I can only hope I'll get there again one day. L.S.
