Sandwich Delights in Glasgow
Sandwich Delights
I went to Sandwich Delights with my mum on saturday. I wasn't impressed at all. The girl, a brunette, who prepared our food (the most unpleasant, unattractive girl with a really bad attitude problem) used her bare hands to put salad onto our dishes. I don't know what the girl's problem was - i was very pleasant to her but she acted like she would have preferred to be anywhere else in the world but there at the moment. Her customer service was appalling. When my mum asked her what the filling was for baked potatoes she just gestured with a flick of the hand towards the wall and seemed very dismissive. When our food finally came she just dumped it onto the tray and walked away. We stood for a while rather dumbfounded wondering if that was our order finished because usually, in any other place I've been to, they push the tray towards you, thank you and wish you a nice day or something along those lines but nothing. We were supposed to be mind readers. The other girl who was working with her, a blonde, who was moderately more pleasant noticed us still standing there and you could see that she was asking the brunette what was going on with us and, although i couldn't hear what the girl said in response, you could tell it wasn't pleasant. She was sneering and you could tell the stuff that was coming out of her mouth was not nice. With that, we picked up the tray and walked away feeling a little confused about what exactly we had just experienced. As we sat near by eating what turned out to be an overpriced, under heated meal with the salad looking like it was going off, they basically just stared over at us giving us dirty looks - two silly, immature teenage girls. I was so angry that my mum had to stop me from going back up and giving them a piece of my mind. We are the customers and it is their duty, their job, to give us good service. I can't imagine that the owner of the place would be very impressed if he/she knew how their employees were treating customers. If not for any other reason, the girl in question should be reprimanded for ignoring basic hygiene when preparing food by neglecting to use gloves. Won't be going back. Horrible way to treat people - especially people who were polite and didn't do a thing wrong. Silly young girls like that are putting decent, pleasant and reliable people out of jobs. The owner(s) should definitely have a re-think about the people they are employing as the face of their business because they will lose a lot of customers at this rate.
