Longden & Cook Dental Accountancy Practice in Oldham

Used this accountant for over 20 years. Initially I had no problems but the last 10 years or so has been a catalogue of errors. Constantly having to chase things up, no replies to letters, phone calls or emails. Numerous errors culminating recently in discovering I hadn’t paid class 2 national insurance for a number of years. And Mr Brownson’s reply to this subject, and I quote “ well it’s irrelevant whether you paid or not because you are not going to retire any time soon”! When I changed firms he hung onto my overpaid fees, not even replying to my letters until, threatened with the institute of chartered accountants. Then he sent me a bill for sorting out the mess with my national insurance which he had created! My accounts should be straightforward, I am an associate, so how he managed to make such a hash of them I really don’t know.
