These cowboys swindled my sister when she was purchasing her first car ten years ago. True, naivety may have played a part, but they sold her a Renault Clio with 53,000 miles on the clock, and happened to fail to do a service or mention anything about the timing belt, which promptly went at 55,000 miles, inflicting £600 damage. When we complained, it subsequently became apparent my sister had inadvertently purchased the car as a private sale - namely from the owner's own wife! - despite her having purchased it at their premises.
