I had my car serviced here in July 2014. It developed a 'noise' so I took it back to see what it was. The mechanic claimed to have worked for Mercedes and advised it needed a new pulley on the front of the engine block - £100+. The same noise was apparent soon after the pulley was replaced and I was advised that it was possibly another pulley on the engine block that needed to be replaced.

I experienced difficulty in getting the garage to check the car - I was told to 'bring it down' but whenever I tried, they were too busy. Eventually, I took it to Mercedes in Preston who said the noise was due to the water pump that had to be replaced. There were several safety features that needed immediate attention and which would have been apparent at MoT in January and service in July.

I didn't get any joy when I tried to discuss the above with the owner, so would not take my car there again. Lesson learned, it was a false economy to take my car to a local garage because their charges are cheaper than a dealer.
