Maes Glas Veterinary Group
Would not recommend taking your pets to this vet, especially if you need something that is not routine- such as pet travel.
The receptionist has given incorrect advice and been very rude when dealing with my phone calls and also my fiancés phone calls. I've moved my cats from Pencoed to New Zealand and the receptionist told me they didn't need a Rabies jab... which is the one thing they had to have. Suddenly found myself tasked with the job of convincing the receptionist.
I've seen a couple of different vets there. David was really good at handling the cats and keeping them at ease. But Phillip, an expert in animal travel, didn't seem sure of what was needed for my cats to travel, manhandled my cat, wasn't sure if the vaccine had punctured the cats skin and caused a lot of discomfort and unnecessary stress for my cat. Getting the vets to sign the paperwork necessary for the cats travel seemed like a mammoth task- cost a small fortune and took almost three hours. Furthermore they also insisted my cats have a passport- which is completely unecessary for travel to New Zealand and would have cost a lot more money. Thank goodness I had arranged my cats travel with a Pet Travel Expert. On top of that each time I have been to these vets with the cats I've waited at least 20mins over my appointment time to be seen by the vets.
