Coastal Stoves in Holt
Coastal Stoves
Where do I start? Well, I guess the woman who seems to run it is as good a place to start as any. I think her name was Sharon. A complete harpy. She's rude and bossy and seems to have a 'control' desire over anyone who calls this appalling company.
After a very difficult conversation, where she was reluctant to budge one inch on the start time, we finally reached a compromise of 8.30am. I had tried hard to explain that we needed a little time in the morning to get the family out and our son to school etc. You know, normal stuff.
Well after waiting 6 weeks to come and fit a chimney liner, despite having explained that we a 10 year old son (remember this was in November!) they turned up at 7.50am. I was still in bed as was my son, but my wife answered the door and explained that we had pre-arranged an 8.30 start. I shouted from the top of the stairs (as I was still in my underwear), that we weren't ready and they simply can't come in yet. We live in a very small house (2 up, 2 down) and as such the kitchen where they were to work was central getting ready, breakfast etc. We asked if they could come back at the appointed time, to which they agreed.
However, once Sharon got wind of this, she instructed them not to return at all! On top of that, she called to inform us that would now be 'fined' £185 for turning the workmen away!!!
Our landlord then called her and persuaded her to send them back. They arrived again at 9.00am. Part way through, the workman asked "Where's the Stove?". When my wife explained that she had no idea what he was talking about, they had to ring the landlord again, as their job card was different from the job required (to simply fit a liner, not a stove). Chaos from start to finish. Oh, and talking of 'finishing', they finished at 3.00pm...so why all the fuss over a half an hour in the morning???!!! A dreadful experience, oh and top of that, Sharon was very rude to my wife on the phone and even put the phone on her! Great customer service!
