Sylvan Stuart Ltd in Old Rayne, Insch

We commissioned an extension from Sylvan Stuart and this has was built between late 2015 and early 2016. There are, so far, 19 faults in the incomplete building, three of these so serious that the building will fail a building standards inspection. Despite three strongly worded letters and previous verbal communications detailing the problems, Bryan Stuart, the managing director, has refused to even visit the part finished building and denies the existence of the faults. Trading Standards have been informed of the situation and were horrified by our experience. The contract offered by this company has, so far, proven to be worthless and the building is certainly not fit for purpose. Heavy handed demands for interim payments were the norm, including a payment due at wind and water tight stage even though the building was certainly not wind and water tight. Threats of legal action were made by Mr Stuart from this point onwards. I would certainly not recommend this company.
