The Ferns Veterinary Practice in Birnam, Dunkeld

Star rating: 0000! Stay away! I spent a lot of money with this vet 2 years ago. My dog was treated with antibiotics when l knew there was something wrong. I demanded a referral with the Dick Veterinary hospital in Edinburgh. I had to demand this. The vet refused initially but relented and I got an appointment 2 days later. The Vet I saw at the hospital diagnosed cancer of the liver and spleen after tests that same day. I never got an apology from the vet at the Ferns. Having spent so much money l did feel l deserved some respect. As my dog was a Pyrenean Mountain Dog, you can imagine the amount of money I was spending - and my dog was unable to digest them so he was vomiting too. All the vet had to do was examine him to realise something was not right.

I do not use this practise any more and have registered with another Vet - further away from home, but l feel far more confident my pet is being looked after.
