A rip off! I paid £66 for a visit from an 'engineer' who spent 3 minutes looking at the machine and told me that I'd be contacted with the cost of spares. I was refunded £6 when I decided it was cheaper to replace the machine rather than pay a likely £140+ to replace bearings. I had told the call centre it was the bearings when booking the visit! New washing machine with 2 year warranty and 10 years warranty on parts is £240.
Our smeg oven lost its main oven heating element a few days before Christmas with a 6Kg turkey on order. Having got a sanction number from Domestic & General, our insurer, I spoke with Dolphin Appliance Care Ltd and they arranged for one of their technicians to visit on Christmas Eve. Mark duly rang me on the day before to confirm his visit as his first call on 24 December. He duly appeared, as agreed, and he proved to be a very pleasant and professional tradesman. The oven was fixed before 08:00 and now we can proceed with the festivities.
Despite all the negative reviews, once I got through to Dolphin, I cannot fault them.
Awful. Dolphin engineer came to fix my washing machine and told me he'd fixed it and it was all fine. When I used it the exact same problem as before was repeated. I had to wait a week for him to come back and when he did he said I should have drained the water in preparation for his visit and that if that happened again I might be charged. He managed to fix the problem after a lot of work, the work he had avoided doing on the first visit, and it was sorted. Real waste of my time and very unprofessional. Cancelled my cover so as to not use Dolphin again.
