Ted's Sheds in Cryers Hill, High Wycombe
Ted's Sheds
1 star is the minimum but they are not even that good.
We wanted a rather large shed for office work and for gym use. The Teds Shed guy came round and was very presentable and convinced us to use his firm to build our shed. I deeply regret ever agreeing to this outfit to build our shed.
My advice - avoid this firm at all costs. In my opinion, they use materials that are not fit for the purpose and their skills and expertise in building are hugely questionable. Firstly, I was rather disappointed that they left gaps where the wall and ceiling panels met, so they had to rectify that. Then the roof leaked after the first down pour of rain. They even attempted to palm me off by saying 'well it has rained a lot recently'. My particular beef is with the doors. They kept slipping so that they rubbed every time you opened the door. Really annoying.
This was then explained away by them that the 'hot weather was probably the cause. The reality is that they have used the wrong exterior hinges which are not suitable to hold a door of that weight. Also, the hinges can easily be removed by unscrewing the screws, so not what I call secure. The door handles are flimsy and have broken 3 times, the window locks are just rubbish quality. You would expect a bit of after sale service but after initial coming round to replace the broken door handle twice, he has not bothered to respond to my request to come and fix it again. Suffice to say that we have had to contract another repair man to replace the door hinges, the door locks and fix the window locks, and incurred additional expense.
Is it too much to ask the people who you pay good money to (over 5k), to do a competent job? I really could not face Ted Sheds coming back again to carry out another bodge job repair. Very disappointed and definitely would not recommend them.
