AVOID THIS COMPANY, WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

They have proved to be completely unreliable, totally untrustworthy and clearly exploiting the fact that I was not on site to charge me as much as they felt they could get away with, without even my consent! I am now trying to obtain a refund through my credit card company.

We had a leak in our rented property so I contacted C.Andersons and Sons on 4/5 and booked an appointment for that very afternoon. I explained we had a new tenant so to please liaise just with me for costings, resolution etc. I received a voicemail later that afternoon stating that the issue had been solved and that £195 had been charged to my card! No explanation, no request for me to approve or for my consent, nothing. I called back and spoke to a gentleman who told me his colleague was dealing with it and would call me back shortly. Nobody bothered to call me back.

I spoke to another gentleman the following morning and was told that in fact the job was not finished, a pipe/attachment needed to be fitted the washing machine, and they were due to go back on Friday 5/5. I told him that no one would even be available on the Friday and requested they return on Saturday, so he booked a slot between 11am-2pm. On Saturday nobody turned up, no phone call, nothing. I called again and was told that the appointment had been booked for Monday 8/5, not Saturday as previously agreed. On Monday I told them I wanted my money back for the appalling service, and the difficult position they left us in with our tenant. They refused this.

Later that day my wife called to understand the exact nature of the problem and was told that the additional work required would take approximately another 2 hours to complete. We employed a local plumber to visit, who completed the work within 20 minutes.
