The Everest Indian and Nepalese Restaurant in Belfast
The Everest Indian and Nepalese Restaurant
Disastrous. In short, waited an hour and a half in a freezing cold, half empty 'restaurant' for food that we were unable to eat and were refused any discount. If I could give it no stars I would.
Longer version - arrived and after some discussion between the waitresses table 3 was mentioned. The waitress moved some cutlery, then wandered off leaving us wondering if it was our table, waitress then glanced back and nodded. Drinks order was taken and never filled. Stale poppadoms were delivered to the table. We had to wait half an hour for someone to take our order (and the place was still half empty) The menu is quite detailed as to ingredients and we carefully ordered things without onion or tomato (potatoes and chick peas in light spices and sag paneer (spinach and cheese) for me. Food arrived after an hour wait and each dish was at least half onions. Huge chunks of tomato in both my dishes - the sag paneer was more like hunt the spinach, a few flakes of spinach, two cubes of cheese and the rest onion and tomato. Revolting. We left the table and went over to the waitress who was extremely apologetic and asked us to hold on a moment. She returned and apologised profusely but 'he' (presumably the owner or manager) had refused any discount. We paid for food we were completely unable to eat. I had sat wearing my coat and scarf the whole time as the place was freezing cold. Avoid this place like the plague!
