The Kumon Broadstairs Maths & English Study Centre runs after-school maths and English classes for children of all ages and abilities on Fridays and Saturdays year round at Hilderstone College, Broadstairs CT10 2JW. Our maths and English programmes establish strong foundations to help your child to feel confident about tackling challenging work. Many of our students perform well in their 11+ and entrance exams, as well as GCSE, A-level, university, employment and all other aspects of adult life.
We give students the tools they need to enjoy learning. Rather than offering conventional maths and English tuition, we guide them through work that is set at just the right level, keeping them engaged and making progress. We support and encourage students to work out answers by themselves, becoming self-sufficient, successful learners. By studying little and often through daily worksheets and the study centre, our students steadily increase ability and fluency, building their skills in small, manageable steps.
The Kumon English programme will help your child to develop their reading and writing skills and understand a variety of texts. It progresses from basic word and sentence building to comprehension and critiquing advanced texts. Each student starts at their own, individually set starting point following assessment.
The Kumon maths programme helps children of all ages and ability levels to develop maths skills and a love of numbers. Students are aged two to older children and each one is assessed at the beginning of their Kumon journey to ensure they work at just the right level. Study is set according to ability, regardless of age or school year, making it the obvious choice for any student wanting to progress or excel in maths.
Students come to the Broadstairs Centre from pre-schools, state and independent schools across Thanet including Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Margate, Birchington-on-Sea, Westgate-on-Sea, Manston, Ash, Deal and surrounding villages.
