Richs is very popular, they food is beautiful, roasts are phenomenal and they cook lots of traditional food like my grandma used to do. We often take our 2 young children for Sunday lunch and the experience is always enjoyable and very relaxing. Lunch is great and the pudding is to die for. Highly recommended.
Based on advice from a 'regular' I had booked a table at the Cider Press. I was really disappointed by the whole experience, maybe my expectations were too high! When it arrived, my mother's food (lasagne) was cold in the middle, terrible!
We were put off eating by this bad start, and even if the waitress dealt with our complain in a professional manner, we decided to leave. I know many people recommend Richs to their friends and family, and probably for good reasons, but I must say our experience was not a good one!
Absolutely fabulous, the roast dinners are delicious! One of the staff dishes out the meat and the rest is self service. You can also order from the main menu if you prefer.
I definitely recommend the Cider Press restaurant. Just make sure you book for the carvery if you want to get a seat!
We took my dad here for a surprise lunch on Father's Day. The mixed grill was delicious, and it came with a dish of nicely done chips. Everything was nicely cooked and very well presented, and the staff are friendly. I would recommend booking in advance, as a lot of the tables had 'reserved' on them.
We thought we'd give the Cider Press Restaurant a try whilst in the area, and I can confirm it is a great place to eat! What a fantastic roast! The meat was full of flavour, and the fresh vegetables were absolutely delicious. The cakes were amazing, too. And, if this wasn't enough, the staff are polite and friendly. 10 stars!
Every time we go to Highbridge to visit my sister we end up at Rich's. We go there for the carvery, which has two sittings, 12pm and 13.30. I'd suggest going to the second sitting to work up your appetite - you are going to need it considering the size of their lunches!
They have the best Sunday roast ever... Forget the museum and go to the restaurant!
