Spirit Acupuncture in Clowne, Chesterfield

Unfortunately, I visited Andrew for acupuncture in August. He was a really nice chap and took his time. However, he manipulated my back which I wasn't expecting (clicked and pushed on it to realign?) I was laying face down so couldn't see. I wasn't expecting the electrical impulses either. These caused the muscles around my injury to contract. My pain was worse following treatment, so Andrew massaged the area with a warm ointment. By the time I arrived home, I was in agony and have been in almost constant low level pain ever since. Prior to the acupuncture I had pain in certain positions. Now, it is almost constant. I am now awaiting a scan through the NHS. When I visited Andrew, I had a lot of faith in acupuncture. I am a qualified health professional and feel I need to warn others.

I was a little apprehensive about acupuncture before I began treatment, but after battling with depression for a year and feeling fed up of being left numb on medication, I decided to give it a go. Andrew immediately put my mind at ease and I found treatment relaxing and beneficial. After a few months, I was able to come off all medication and I have been medication free for a year now. I continue to attend every couple of weeks for maintenance, often being treated for other ailments, also successfully. I cannot recommend Andrew enough.

For the first time in years someone took the time to find about my health problems, some of which overlap. This in itself was very nourishing. I have never had acupuncture before so was open-minded: I found the whole procedure carried out professionally with the minimum of fuss, each stage being explained to me. The following day I was in more pain, but I am used to that having had 4 years of physiotherapy usually twice or three times a week. After that, things improved. Not only did I get the treatment I expected to have, but advice on diet for my conditions and how to proceed now. I would give 5 stars with this review, but one visit may not be sufficient to make a permanent judgement. Thank you Andrew for helping me to feel the relief from pain that I experienced following my treatment.
