Two Feathers in Brighton
Two Feathers
I found the shop and its contents gimmicky and a little tacky. I've seen shops like this in the US except that those are much better, with more variety and better quality items.
However, my real problem was with the woman who owns the shop and her attitude to customers. I actually booked to see the tarot reader (hey, I was on holiday) and turned up at the allotted time to be told that the reader was running 20 minutes late. Although the owner had taken my mobile number they didn't bother calling me to let me know (which I pointed out to her). She told me to come back in about 20 minutes. I duly returned in 20 minutes, for the owner to tell me that the reader was still busy and she didn't know when she'd be finished, and she said it with a certain degree of malicious pleasure (presumably because I'd asked her to phone if there was a problem).
The owner is clearly totally incompetent and unprofessional in the way in which she runs her business, as well as being a rather nasty person. Her website talks about the shop being "an expression of light" and "born from a place of love and beauty", and "great healing work for the highest good of all". However, she certainly doesn't behave like this in how she treats her customers. She is essentially a complete hypocrite. So I don't recommend this place for anything.
