Perfect Timing
Please do not use Perfect Timing. This gentleman has serious problems. What Bill N says in his comments is very accurate. It took me over 2 months get my wall clock back. The clock is working but the clock face is badly scratched where his screwdriver has slipped off the screw heads and the inside mechanism moves around when winding it up and screws are still falling out. I only left it because I was desperate to have it fixed. I wish I had read previous reviews first. BE WARNED.
Absolute Disaster! I left a lovely old Mantle clock (around 1930s) to be repaired by Perfect Timing. It was accepted outside the premises by a lady who said she was the daughter of the repairer. I phoned many times to ask about the progress of the repair and was eventually told on the phone that it had been repaired. So I travelled about 30 miles to collect it. When I got to the premises there was no one at home so I waited about 40 minutes. Eventually an elderly man turned up and I told him the purpose of my visit. He asked me if I had spoken to the clock maker and I told him I hadn't and he walked into the house. A few minutes later, he came out and asked me if would recognise the clock to which I replied. Yes of course! I was invited inside the house and was truly shocked by what I saw! The interior was like Steptoe's 'Junk Yard' with bits of dismantled clocks and watches all over the place including on the furniture and just lying the floor and some had obviously been trampled on! I looked around and eventually found the outer case of my clock but there was no mechanism inside or near it... I knew what the mechanism looked like because the winding key is normally located in a clip inside the rear door of the case and I had seen the mechanism many times. The hands were also missing. I searched around among many piles of clock parts and other junk, looking for the mechanism. I eventually found the mechanism but the clock hands were not anywhere that I could see. The 'establishment' if you can call it that was certainly not one would expect of a business carrying out repairs to precision devices like clocks and watches. It's a disgrace. I took the parts of my clock (minus the hands) and I left. I'll look for a proper clock repairer.
