The Village Tea Rooms in Headcorn, Ashford

The Village Tearooms in Headcorn is one of the best tea rooms I have visited for many a year. If you want a breakfast, morning coffee/tea & cake, lunch (with a varied menu), or afternoon cream tea, please pop in for a lovely welcome. You're greeted with a smile & if you are lucky maybe a bit of banter too!! We have family living in Smarden so ofter pop in, and you can enjoy looking at all the little bits they have for sale.

Have been here several times before and always enjoyed the food but not so keen on the service. Today was the last time we will be visiting. Rude staff we were made to feel we were an inconvenience. Literally told " you would have been waiting there all day" because we were sitting at a table with used crockery from the customers before which apparently meant the waiting staff wouldn't realise we were new customers. The place always seems to be run as if customers are only to be tolerated.
