Tor Laundry and Dry Cleaners in Torquay

My wife and I used Tor Laundry for a few months and were constantly disappointed with the quality of service and the rude staff. Every time about ten minutes before closing, when we had our clothes in the drier the employees began acting quite annoyed coming from the back of the facility to the front close to our drier, looking at the number of minutes left, then looking at us all annoyed walking around visibly unhappy repeating the behavior pretty much every minute. They would tell us on a very annoyed tone that they close at 8:00 PM. We said we knew and that we were planning to be out of there no later than 8:00. But that would not appease them so they would do their rude rounds every minute. Then I realized that closing 10 or 15 minutes early and going home was their goal, therefore they were trying to intimidate us.
We felt unwelcome and bothered we felt by their shockingly unprofessional behavior. After a few weeks of this aggressive behavior we complained to the manager. Things seemed to somewhat improve for a couple of weeks, a new lady was employed, but they soon returned to the same rude strategy. Unacceptable.
To add insult to the injury, for a number of weeks they decided to close two hours earlier then normal certain days of the week, without properly modifying the online schedule, without giving proper notice to the customers, and without telling customers for how long the schedule would be modified. So we were in the situation of carrying heavy bags with laundry just to find the facility closed, with a “Today we close at 6” note on the door. Pathetic. Last but not least, the washing machines were either not washing properly or they had developed mould inside, since the clothes starting having a progressively strong moldy odour after washing and drying. When we stopped using that facility, the smell gradually decreased. This laundry facility is definitely not recommended.
