Dog put in for 3 night stay 30/12/2016. Contact from a friend 10.10am 01/01/2017 that dog had been found 3 miles from kennels, having tried to get into our house. Dog taken in cold wet and scared by the fantastic Suzy. No contact from kennels, their land line being ignored. Friend visited the kennel about 11.00am to be told that no dogs were missing. All dogs present at 08.30am for breakfast. On checking our dog was not there!! The dog had been seen at 07.30am by neighbours and rescued at 08.30am. Why she lied only she can say. We were told the same story 25 hours later when we picked the dog up. At that time the dog was cold wet and very nervous. The kennel owner was quite brutal bringing him to us. It appeared he may have been outside all night in the frost. His lead was frozen rigid. It was the following week we found that at least 8 people were looking for him in our area and the truth was clear to us. Since then people have indicated cruelty to two other dogs, not corroberated by us. Other people just raised their eyes when the kennel was mentioned.
Local authority will be informed as will SSPCA As this is a rescue dog and SSPCA retain the right to the dog at all times.
