King's Auctions, Amersham in Amersham

Do NOT use Kings Auctions in Amersham. When we used them for our house clearance, certain large items (sofa and 2 armchairs) did not sell in the first auction, and we were told they had been given to charity! When we queried this, stating that we had specifically told Trevor (the owner) we did not want these particular items to go to charity should they not sell first time around (we wanted them to go into the following auction), we were told in fact that they had been sold in the following auction and that we should have received our money. When I followed up weeks later, asking for my cheque, I was told a new employee had incorrectly sent the cheque to another customer! I am certain that if I had not followed up I would never have received anything. It has taken 3 months to get anything back from the sale of my chairs and I believe it to be an amount lower than it should be. I am asking for documentary proof of the sale to corroborate Trevor's story. I believe they are cheating customers out of their money and taking advantage of those that do not follow up. You have been warned.
