The Armitage Arms in Brighouse
The Armitage Arms
We were a party of 4 visiting for the first time on 11th may. It was very busy and when ordering we were told there would be a wait of about 1 hour 15 mins. When our meals finally arrived they were all pretty awful. The fish was dry and appeared to be twice cooked, the 16oz steak was about half of an inch thick and would have been better nailed to the sole of a shoe, my pie had pastry too hard to cut through, with powdered mash that still had unmixed powder in it , the mixed grill was all overcooked and dry. Needless to say we won't go there again and certainly won't recommend it. The occasion was mums 86th birthday, and had travelled to get here, and the reason we left and didn't complain was simply because we didn't want to spoil her day.
