In my opinion, if you are elderly and/or disabled as my parents are do not touch this company. When Andrew Johnson tells you he is an "honourable man" do not believe it. In my parents' case they wanted an accessible shower room, due to health problems. Andrew Johnson's "plumber/tiler" Gareth came and approved all the shower room fixtures and fittings.
Gareth had days, and half days off resulting in running out of time to fit the shower room, hence, the shower screen was fitted the wrong way round, the bidet was the wrong colour, the sink and the bidet were only silicone in, no isolation valve fitted to toilet, towel rail too small for the room and not working. My parents had to get another company to re-fit the bedroom radiator, that Gareth left. Gareth then went to another job leaving my parents without heating in the winter, so they had to pay for another company to rectify this.
They now have to pay for correct pipework to be fitted in order for the sink to work. The joint on the outside wall between the house and extension needs work (my daughter's partner is a structural engineer). Andrew employed Mr Kevin Parry, a plumbing and central heating engineer for a report on the state of the shower room. Mr Parry's report was damning and critical, including expecting the tiles to come off the walls.
Although this was not acted upon by Andrew. My parents have called many times to try to get the work rectified, but have had the phone put down on them after Andrew Johnson being highly aggressive towards my parents. They have tried though Citizens Advice under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for mediation, and Mr Johnson has given 2 unacceptable replies, but will not mediate. He has left them for over 2. 5 years with 2 unusable rooms, with no means of moving forward. So far, they have spent £1000, but still have to raise over £1800 to rectify Mr Johnsons company's mistakes. Photographic and written evidence, reports and chronology is available on request.
All of the above mentioned is on Andrew Johnsons quote. But the work does not comply with the Sale of Goods Act section 13 (goods should be in a good and satisfactory state). He takes your money and leaves the job half/poorly done. To add insult to injury they have still not received their 10-year guarantee.
