Tudor Auction Rooms Ltd in Carcroft, Doncaster

It was just over a year ago when my Father died and I was tasked with clearing his house. As I lived over 300 miles away the Auction rooms seemed like the obvious solution, especially as I could only be there at week ends. I understand that old people collect worthless nick nacs but all I was offered was £100. That was to include the 3 piece suite, all bedroom furniture from 3 bedrooms. Some white goods and my Mother's much worshipped china cabinet and its contents. I understand that they have to make a profit but this was daylight robbery as I had no other choice under the circumstances. When they came to collect I was heartbroken with the way everything was handled. I offered to box item up but he refused my offer and just tipped up the china cabinet with all contents inside crashing around. By the time he had left the place looked like it had been ransacked. Anything he did not want was just thrown onto the floor. There was no compassion and I would recommend that anyone else in this situation finds someone else to do business with
