I hired Pickups to replace my immersion heater with a condensing combi boiler.
The owner came round within hours of the installation demanding to be paid cash for the job and said he would post a receipt which was never received.
i was left with no hot water in the bathroom for 3 days.
They corrected the problem but in the quickest way possible and I was left with an unsightly copper pipe running from my bath to the sink.
There was a leak from one of the fittings on the boiler which resulted in water soaking in to and ruining the kitchen work surface. When they were called back to correct the problem, I was not home and the engineer told my wife the problem had been resolved. When I returned I discovered the engineer had just covered the leaky fitting in silicone. Later found out they had also fitted the flue incorrectly which resulted in water leaking inside the boiler and the internal metalwork corroded. I now have to replace the boiler after a couple of years. I called the company repeatedly over the next few days and left many messages but did not receive a response. I contacted the boiler manufacturer and discovered that they did not register the installation with the manufacturer which voided my warranty.
