Products & Services:
My mam's lovely border collie Glen had to sadly be put to sleep yesterday, all of the vets and staff at the PDSA have been absolutely fantastic, so compassionate and caring, a totally different experience to when her first dog had to be put to sleep by a vets practice many years ago. Even though it was close to their closing time we had enough time to sit and talk to Glen and tell him how much we loved him before he gently passed away, we really can't thank you enough for the care you gave to Glen and his family.
I fetched my 18 month old dachshund to be seen. She was not eating and had been sick, the vet I seen that day checked her stomach, her weight and temperature; the only thing she found wrong was she was over weight nothing else even though you could clearly see that there was something wrong but she sent us home with an appointment for Monday but said that Honey was just a bit under the weather and she wasn't worried about her and we probably wouldn't need to come back on Monday. Well, she was right we didn't need to come back on Monday because Honey died on Sunday 20 January after taking her to the emergency vets in Gateshead on Sunday afternoon where the vet there noticed straight away that Honey was a very ill little dog and if the vet we had seen on Wednesday had of took her for a scan or x-ray she would be alive today but now I am a very upset dog owner who is missing her little dog and will never trust cowgate vets again.
I have been coming here for years first with Jess, she went to pet heaven and now my beloved Alfie has just passed away, myself and family are devastated, people who have not had dogs will never understand what we go through... it does not go away, where would we be without this fabulous body of people called the pdsa... I know you have to wait for ages in the waiting room and pets and owners are totally stressed out, but its too be expected, I can't thank the vets and nurses who truly care and treated my dogs.
Dear wonderful Staff members of the PDSA,
I would just like to thank you all for the wonderful care and compassion you have given my mum (Ethel Booth) with her lovely dog Penny who unfortunately had to be put to sleep last week. My mum is heart broken as expected but she has so much to thank you all for. Always praising your wonderful staff for the care they give to the pets and compassion they feel for the owners.
Please keep up your wonderful work.
