I have achieved an 'Outstanding' Ofsted grade in my first inspection in 2007 and again in 2011. I received an N. N.E. B qualification in 1991 and since then have been involved in many aspects of childcare, from working in a shopper’s creche to managing a private day nursery. Prior to becoming a child minder I was the Nursery Nurse at Thorpe Hesley Infant School where I worked for eight years. I decided to child mind after the birth of my second child, so I could spend quality time with my own children as well as continue in a profession I dearly love. I’ve been married to Robert for 18 years and have three wonderful children, Jay, Max and Freya, We live on the Bramley Grange Estate within easy walking distance to the local school. I offer childcare on the ground floor of my home which comprises of an entrance porch where children have their own personal space to store their shoes and coat, a large day room, kitchen dining area, spacious lounge, toilet, utility and office. I ensure there are always plenty of activities for children to access including arts and crafts, imaginative play, cooking and baking, sand and water, computer, songs, rhymes and music, construction, jigsaws, puzzles, board games, books and small world. My garden offers a safe and secure area for children to play and explore with various outdoor activities. We also visit local parks and attractions.
