This man sold my daughter a car that was described as 'in excellent condition, with recent MOT and service and recent cam-belt change" - the car has a number of MOT failure issues and an independent garage check detailed the engine as 'faulty beyond repair'. Even though we returned the car for repair under warranty, Steve Jones stated that, (despite video evidence to the contrary), "there is nothing wrong with the car" however, on getting the car back, we found the faults remained and that the engine had been tampered with, including drilling a hole in the dipstick tube to relieve pressure build-up in the engine and other components tampered with to try and cover up the engine faults. Steve Jones refuses to refund the money for the car and we have reported Steve Jones / SMJ AutoCraft to Trading Standards and are currently in the process of filing a small-claims case. I wish we had never seen the ad for this company and I will certainly not be recommending him to anybody, based on my personal experience.
