Shirley Garage Services in Southampton

Very disappointed by the service we received, we booked in for a full service and MOT, not even an hour after dropping the vehicle off we had a phone call to say that the service was complete and we needed pads all round and a brake fluid change (the brake fluid change was carried out by another garage the day before) and that the locking wheel nuts were damaged (again, the day before we had new tyres and had no issues). We found this very strange. Shirley Garage Services were very quick to blame everyone else of the damaged wheel nuts which we found unprofessional. On collection Shirley Garage Services failed to inform us that one of the alloy wheels on our vehicle had been damaged by their member of staff and when we asked about this they said that it’s one of those things that happen, unfortunately we will now have to get this repaired ourselves as they think it’s something that is allowed to happen to vehicles and aren’t interested in getting it resolved. After they informed us of the brake pads needing doing they put the van through the MOT and it passed with no advisory’s or any mention about the brake pads so seems it was a money making tactic. It’s a shame as we have been looking for a local garage to maintain our fleet of vehicles.
