I am an experienced, fully qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist working with a wide variety of issues, and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I draw from and integrate a range of theoretical perspectives in my counselling practice as this enables me to adapt my approach according to the needs and personality of each client. I offer both short and longer-term therapy to young people and adults.
What are Counselling and Psychotherapy?
At times we all feel stressed and overwhelmed, possibly as a direct result of a traumatic event or simply due to the difficulties we encounter on a daily basis while struggling to juggle the many aspects of our lives. It is at these times that we can most benefit from taking space to reflect on things.
Counselling and psychotherapy are recognised as effective ways of helping you to explore your issues in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment. By focusing on significant life events, both past and present, along with feelings, ways of thinking and patterns of behaviour, I can help you to gain a deeper understanding of your problems, highlight any internal conflicts, clarify what you want and help you focus on the changes you need to make in order to achieve your goals.
