It was in 1934 that Vic Kent first opened for business and unwittingly became the founding father of what would eventually grow into the largest independent group of barber shops in the whole of the United Kingdom. His salon at Yardley, on the edge of Birmingham, pioneered a new concept by combining a swift, instantaneous service with a standard of hair care which had not previously been available to the vast majority of the male population. His business philosophy caught the imagination of thousands of customers who travelled from miles around. As the daily queues outside his salon lengthened and stretched ever farther down the pavement, Vic Kent was forced to take on more assistants. His sons David and Eric later took over the business and expanded it into a large chain of shops. Since 1986 the 3rd generation of Kent has taken up the reigns and expanded into Worcestershire and our Worcester shops champion the same traditional profesasionalism with cutting-edge style.
