Chef, David Jenkins, has a background in fine dining, but at Rock salt they look to provide something all together more relaxed. Opened in November 2011 the family haven't looked back, its quickly become one of Plymouth's most vibrant eating places.
The welcoming and informal setting of an old pub turned into a cosy and bustling meeting place. With an aim to reach the foodies of the local area, tempting people with local coffee, or a glass of wine to go with some exciting and imaginative food.
Expect to see a home made burger along side a pad thai noodle dish during the day. And for evening something more special such as ox cheek tortellini with asparagus veloute or home cured sea trout with cucumber, wasabi and crème fraiche. They even do their own 7 course tasting menu for the hard core foodies! Well worth a try.
