We used John D Wood in Clapham. The letting team was fantastic in getting us to sign up.... however once we signed up it was a different story! The conditions on the lease for our move in were not addressed, a closet door was missing from the main room as is a pipe in the kitchen sink, none of the appliances worked, the faucet in the bathroom remains broken, and the locks on the window weren't fixed (as requested) and there was (and still is!) a heap of rubbish from the old tenants in the boiler room and on the terrace, the heaters didn't work, the toilet didn't work properly, and the place was filthy! We contacted the letting agents the day of move in and got no response despite urgent voicemails and emails. Our property manager, who wasn't even present at the handover, would never get back to us despite our numerous calls and emails and is constantly away. It has been over 4 weeks now and barely any of our concerns have been addressed.
We tried to contact the letting agents and nothing from their end as well. Such a shame because we wouldn't even mind assisting in helping to fix up the place if we felt we had any support from John D Wood. In the future would definitely be put off by a property if it was managed by - very unreliable.
For anyone looking to rent through this agency... be warned! And for landlords looking for property managers, I would suggest to look elsewhere as they are quite unprofessional.
