Veterinary behaviourist Dr Katie Friel-Russell BVSc MAPDT PGDip CCAB MRCVS runs Positive Pet Training where we offer veterinary referral behaviour consults for dogs and cats, group training and individual training for all ages and breeds of dogs. Based in Staffordshire but we also run sessions virtually online for those further afield.
Our behaviour consults are to help with emotionally driven behaviours such as reactivity to people or other dogs, noise sensitivity, separation related behaviours and guarding. These require a referral from your vet and can be claimed on pet insurance if you have appropriate cover. The majority of these problems have a medical basis and, as a vet, Dr Katie can help to treat the medical alongside the behavioural concerns.
Our group and individual training is run by qualified trainers and offers preventative training for puppies and dogs alongside fun training in agility, hoopers, gundog, scent work and general training. Group classes are limited to a maximum of 6 dogs per class ensuring plenty of time and space for you and your dog.
All of our training is science based and force-free, which means we don’t hurt or scare animals during our training. Our approach is as ethical as it is effective. Please see our website for availability and you can book directly.
