Marja Brown was born and raised in Holland. She studied art at college, but became a potter for 25 years before picking up the brush again.
Marja moved to the south coast of England in 1987 and settled in Dorset after having lived in different countries across Europe. Marja felt a deep spiritual connection with the Dorset countryside and her love of her beautiful new homeland inspired her to paint the stunning landscapes and seascapes across the region.
The ancient Dorset landscape offers Marja unlimited potential to express her love for painting with many different colours which she finds deeply healing.
Marja Brown regularly exhibits at Pine Walk in Bournemouth Winter Gardens, as well as in a range of online galleries. She is always happy to talk about her work with those who are interested and happy to undertake commission work.
