Jewel Shop was established in 1987 and we recently adopted our new name of ‘City of London Jewellers’ as we feel it more accurately represents our location and status. We are located in Eldon St which is within walking distance of both Liverpool St station and Moorgate station. It is in the very heart of the prestigious and historic city of London’s financial district also known to some as ‘the square mile’.
I was facing the rather daunting task of selecting an engagement ring by myself for my partner, after a recommendation from a colleague and also reading the great reviews about the city of London jewellers, the fact that it is just around the corner from where i work in finsbury square, decided that this would be my first stop. Having no prior knowledge and only a very little idea of what i was after peter the owner patiently took me through my options and explained everything about diamonds and recommended some rings to me, he took all the fears away from me worrying if she would like it or not, and told me he would be happy to exchange the ring if she didn't like it, fortunately she absolutely loved it and i only had to take it back to get the size changed. I found peter to be a very pleasant and helpful guy and not at all pushy, he seemed to genuinely want to find a ring i liked, I have also recommended them to friends and in future i will be going back for the wedding ring etc. Thanks Peter.
