Lucinda's Dress Shop in Purley
Lucinda's Dress Shop
Hard sell was appalling.
OMG I didn't think shops like this still existed in the 2020's .
Sales team must be on commission the fake flattery oh fabulous darling beautiful legs its gorgeous on you is unreal.
They try to make you feel good by plying you with wine but this is an old trick to make you spend more.
You'll be lucky to get out alive if you don't put your credit card over the counter.
I felt really intimidated verging on bullying.
Sadly as we were wearing our everyday wear, my fiancée decided to find an informal wedding dress. Met with a glance that our class weren't welcome, our host ventured on the trying to seclude us with the bottom end of a range. Accusing us of wasting her time until she realised that maybe we were wasting ours. To add insult to injury, accusing her fiancé of taking pictures when in fact a phone rang. The experience was not one we would like to repeat, while snobbiness can look down at everyday people, to indulge on elitism. My fiancée did buy a dress, £800, the dress being the seller. I should suggest she make attractive the shop as a whole and to present them in such a way, than the tatty show of garments, all shapes and colours which can distract you from those we've seen such as John Charles which we've bought. Rather than to force expression about what's right all the time, how about some fair exchange. Too full on if you ask me. Presentation is very bad on first perusal. She can't afford to insult everyone by first assessment as one can do on first looking around. She is always right and the customer wrong. Try for yourself if you're disbelieving?
