My name is Chris Seymour-Smith and I have been a Birmingham teacher for 27 years. Roles included head of maths, maths adviser, head of science and ICT advisor in state, private, special schools, adult education and eLearning.
I understand that maths is one of the hardest subjects to learn - and also to teach! I hate to see children struggling with what is clearly my favourite subject and I thoroughly enjoy working with children of all ages so that they can experience maximum success.
I also offer science, ICT and primary languages to all ages.
My teaching approach is based on three beliefs:
1. All learners can succeed in their learning.
2. Everyone learns differently - So I find out first how you or your child learns best and tailor my approach.
3. Learners learn best when they feel comfortable, safe and have control of their learning in a relaxed environment.
... So I build this into my planning.
1st lesson: Free. Includes an assessment.
Fee/hr: £30 (1 month in advance).
