Electrue Services in Shirley, Solihull

I'm not an electrician (or even particularly good at DIY) and on the advice of a friend I decided to remove the main oven element from our 3 year old Zanussi which had stopped working. I admit I was feeling a little nervous about it all, but it looked easy to do and luckily I had set of star shaped Torx screwdrivers to get the screws out. I even found a video on YouTube showing how easy it was to do.

I noted the model number, serial number and prod number of the oven and took the burnt out element down to Electrue. The very friendly guy looked up the correct part for me and 10 minutes and a good chat later I walked out with the new element. It took me 20 minutes to fit the new part and put the cover back on. The oven is now working again as I write this.

As the smiling guy in the shop said - "It's easy to do, and if you got an electrician out to do it, you'd get charged £100 just for them to walk through the door even before the parts cost."

The element cost me £39.98, and while I know I could have sourced it online for about £10 cheaper, why wait when you can get the oven working again quickly and make your wife happy? ;-)

All in all a nervous set of circumstances made a lot more comforting by the reassuring nature of the Electrue staff.
